Europe’s leading marketplace for special objects, Catawiki, announced multiple new hires in key leadership positions today.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Andy Botha will join the company as Catawiki’s CFO following an impressive 25-year career in leading marketplaces such as Zoopla, Betfair, Secret Escapes and Lastminute.com. During his time as Group CFO at Zoopla, Andy was instrumental in its successful
growth story culminating in the sale, in May 2018, to the US PE firm Silver Lake for $3 billion. Andy Botha said: “I’m excited to be joining Catawiki to lead the Finance team, and to be part of a team focused on delivering on the many opportunities we have ahead of us”.
Chief People Officer (CPO) - Iolanda Meehan will move from Singapore where she spent the last 11 years to take up the role as Catawiki’s CPO. Recently, she has been the Global CHRO for Goodpack and Managing Partner for Veldhoen+Company in Asia. She holds over 20 years of experience in previous roles as HR and business leader in PwC, Philips and Haworth. Aside from the C-Level hires mentioned above, Catawiki has also hired senior leaders across multiple functions.
Vice President of Product - Janet Baireva joins from Adevinta/Ebay to lead all aspects of the product experience on Catawiki. Janet has over 15 years of experience scaling high volume marketplaces and building high impact products for consumers.
Head of Strategy & Corporate Development - Pamela Milligan who previously worked at TomTom & McKinsey & Company will be in charge of setting up the strategy & corporate development function at Catawiki.
Senior Director of People Operations - Paul McGahan joins from Criteo to build out the people operations for 750+ Catawikians spread across 10+ countries.
