Jacob has spent the last 25 years involved with online marketplaces and communities, first as an entrepreneur, then as an executive and the last 10 years as a Chairman.
Jacob started his career as an entrepreneur and was the co-founder of Finexia, before then spending 12 years at eBay where he held a range of executive leadership positions, first as CFO of eBay Europe, then leading the Global Classifieds Group before becoming General Manager for eBay EMEA.
Currently, Jacob is an investor in and Executive Chairman of Adevinta and Chairman of Boats Group, two leading online marketplaces. He is also the Chairman of PhaseOne Group. Besides his investment activities, Jacob helped establish and continues to serve as Chairman of DenmarkBridge, a non-profit organisation helping large Danish corporates with the innovation agenda.

Qualifications
Jacob is a graduate of Copenhagen Business School, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in finance and accounting. He holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
